Adjustable potentiometers are more products to use in our daily lives. In general, there are some failures with adjustable potentiometers. Do you know what the common failure of potentiometers is? With the development of science and technology, there are more and more specifications and models of potentiometers. If the friend who is not familiar with the product may not understand the common fault problems and selection technology of the adjustable potentiometer, then let the small series give you a brief introduction to the common fault problems of the adjustable potentiometer!

(1) Please note that during the installation of the potentiometer, the fixing nut cannot be tightened too tightly, and the strength of the fixing nut of the potentiometer is usually moderate. Because if the strength of the nut is screwed too tight, it will cause the rotation axis of the adjustable potentiometer to be unable to rotate.

(2) The surface of the rotating potentiometer base should be free from condensation, water droplets and debris, and prevent moisture from entering the potentiometer computer, which may cause the insulation performance of the potentiometer assembly to decline or cause short-circuit leakage. In order to prevent the human body from accidentally contacting the leaking part of the potentiometer and causing a dangerous accident, everyone should pay attention to this, and if the point is found, it should be dealt with immediately.

(3) If you do not need to use the potentiometer, please do not rotate the potentiometer, because each rotation will make the inner shaft reach a certain upper limit, resulting in a certain degree of wear. Wear and tear may pose a potential hazard. The device is damaged and cannot be used.

How to determine the zero resistance of the adjustable potentiometer?

1. Use a multimeter to check the zero resistance.

2. Disassemble the product and check whether the surface of the carbon plate is scratched, whether the brush is deformed, whether the carbon plate is broken and whether the terminal is loose. The potentiometer observes whether the brush head track stays on the silver layer at the beginning and end points;

3. The adjustable potentiometer detects whether the resistance from terminal 2 to the far point of the inner circle of the silver layer is less than 3ω.
